TrainBoard does not require an account. This notice explains how information is used by the app, website and support service. Contact us at [email protected].

Location and train information

Your location is used on your device to find nearby stations. Your coordinates are not sent with train-data requests. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the service. We rely on our legitimate interests in delivering and securing the app and website.

Our train-data service’s diagnostic logs are automatically deleted after three days.

Recent stations and preferences are stored on your device. You can change location permission in iOS Settings.

Advertising

TrainBoard uses Google AdMob. Google may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. Personalisation depends on your choices and applicable requirements. We rely on your consent for advertising tracking where required. See how Google uses information.

Where available, Settings → Manage privacy lets you revisit advertising choices. Tracking permission can also be changed in iOS Settings. An active subscription removes displayed ads; this does not mean all Google processing is disabled.

Purchases, website and support

Apple handles subscription payments. TrainBoard checks purchase status to enable subscription features as necessary to fulfil your subscription contract; we do not receive your payment-card details. Website hosting processes network information to deliver pages. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you send us, and use it based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your personal information, or object to its use. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact [email protected] for help or to exercise your rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
